about

about.

"Past the near meadows, over the still stream,

Up the hill-side; and now 'tis buried deep

      In the next valley-glades:

Was it a vision, or a waking dream?

Fled is that music:—Do I wake

or sleep?"

      J. Keats, "Ode to a Nightingale"

I started my journey early in my youth in Spain. I had always felt the need to create since little, and not too long before finishing school, I decided to study Fine Art at University.  For several years I didn't feel satisfied enough with my knowledge of painting and its techniques, so I took as many classes as possible; workshops, painting tutorials,... and countless hours of sketching and practicing that would shape my career as an oil painter.

Velázquez, J. S. Sargent, and J. Sorolla are some of the masters that truly impacted me and have allowed me to develop my style of painting. A memory repeats in my mind; as I walked into the vast room where Las Meninas was being shown, the overwhelming beauty and magnificence truly moved something from within.

Continuously inspired by nature, light, and folklore tales, my impressionism approach brings a fantasy-like feel to everyday subjects; always realistic, yet dreamy- and I believe that it should evoke a sense of nostalgia in the observer.
